It turns out that camera my doesn’t take nearly as good videos as photos, but I still videoed plenty with the idea of trying some editing to put some content up on Youtube. Previously I’ve just used a phone app to hack together those time lapses and such I’ve posted here, but it would really only work in this application with some good computer software. Besides, I want to do a good job.

Any suggestions? I’ve heard good things about Shotcut. I’ve still got to sort through all the photos and videos I’ve taken and properly label them, but expect one or two short videos in the coming week as I get to know the software I chose.

Edit: oh, I don’t want to pay for it if possible since I’m not that serious about it and my windows laptop is not a powerful machine. It just can’t be too intensive.

Shotcut costs nothing - it’s free! A bit tricky to learn the more advanced features like adding titles and the like, but for basic editing and everything else it’s great. There are also plenty of tutorials out there for it as well.

Thank you. I think I had it installed before on my old laptop and I never bothered to learn how to use it. For that, you get a sneak peak:

Just a phone camera picture but I think the proper camera got some better shots.

I did a full walk around video of some of the more interesting cars and I'm going to experiment with those first.

Oh, that’s what it was. I was stuck on the make but I knew I used to know that fact. More renaults there too, including a 10 that annoyingly had the butt end engine buried in a mound of ro tted pine needles. I scraped some away but still couldn’t get a clear view to see what it looked like. That’s one I took a video of, so expect to see that soonish*.
